About Us

Our Mission

The Parent Resource Center of the Fairfax County Public Schools promotes parent awareness of the services provided by the Fairfax County Public Schools for children with learning challenges, special needs, and disabilities and their families. The Center encourages parent participation in the educational decision-making process and provides seminars, training programs, and information to foster the parent/professional partnership. The Center also serves as a resource for educators through our Educator Connection and the community through our Community Link.

Parent Resource Center Liaisons

  • Parent Resource Center Liaisons are here to help you address the complex issues of parenting and educating a child with special needs.

  • Parent Resource Center Liaisons are specially trained staff with extensive knowledge and experience as parents and educators of students with learning challenges, disabilities, and special needs. Consultations are free and confidential.

PRC Satellite Office

Our satellite office is located at Hayfield Elementary School, 7633 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, Virginia. The Hayfield satellite office is closed for the summer.The office will reopen on September 10, 2012.
