Volkswagen Drive-Off Event

In June, Volkswagen Group of America launched its partnership with FCPS at a "Drive-Off" event attended by Virginia Governor, Timothy M. Kaine. At the "Drive-Off," the thirteen FCPS Auto Technology teachers were each given the keys to a new Volkswagen or Audi. The cars were driven to their schools where students will work on them and learn about the latest in automotive technology, including new diesel technologies.    

First Robotics Competition

Thanks to support from BAE Systems, Booz Allen Hamilton, NASA, and Lockheed Martin Corporation, students from Langley and Oakton High Schools were able to compete in the First Robotics Competition, a competition that allows high school teams from across the country to have their robots battle others in a timed competition.
