Welcome to Fairfax County Adult High School!

The local Rotary Clubs of Dunn Loring/Merrifield, Tysons Corner, and McLean have been more than generous in providing scholarship assistance to adult learners.  Since 2000, these clubs have contributed more than $100,000 in scholarship award money to 80+ deserving learners from Fairfax County Adult High School, Woodson Adult High School, Pimmit Alternative Learning Center, and Pimmit Alternative High School. These awards have helped hard working adult learners with the high cost of tuition while also helping them achieve post-high school goals. Fairfax County Adult High School continues to be most appreciative of our local Rotary Club support.

Pictured above is recent Rotary Scholarship Award winner, Kat Elliott. Kat graduated from FCAHS in August of 2015 and is now attending Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Kudos to Kat!

Volunteer Learning Program (VLP) -

VLP is always seeking volunteer tutors who can support our adult high school completion in math, reading or writing. Additional skill areas include the sciences and history. In particular, we are always in need of daytime tutors in the Fairfax, Kingstowne, Reston and Herndon areas, as well as nighttime tutors throughout the area. The next training session is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from 6:30 – 9 and Wednesday, October 7, 2015, from 1:30 – 4:00pm. Please call Michele Armstrong at 703.503.6412 for further information.
