SCHOOL BOUNDARIES
School assignment is determined by residence address. There are several ways to determine the school assignment for a given address in Fairfax County:

  • Enter your street address at http://www.fcps.edu/boundary/
  • View and print the boundary map for a particular school through the map link on the schools and centers directory.
  • Use the voice response system by calling 703-329-9831
  • Call the boundary information phone line at 703-246-6930 between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
  • A complete set of school boundary maps can be purchased for $12 each from the FCPS Office of Facilities Planning Services, Suite 300, 10640 Page Avenue, Fairfax, VA 22030. School attendance area maps are also available at all Fairfax County public libraries.

    These sources provide general boundary information only. Residents are advised to consult official school assignment documentation in the Office of Facilities Planning Services for any boundary information considered critical.

    School boundaries are reevaluated each year and may be adjusted accordingly. Boundary information is provided for the current school year only.

    Individual schools schedule new-student registration dates in early August. However, students may be enrolled at any time, and parents are urged to register their children as soon as possible after arrival in the area.
