Date subject to change if more than three school days are lost because of inclement weather. |
When severe weather conditions or other emergency situations have resulted in FCPS closing school for three days, none of these days will need to be made up. If FCPS is closed for four or five days, then the fourth and fifth missed day must be made up. After six or more missed days of school, every other day must be made up, see Table 1 below. *Drawing on the experiences of recent winters, the School Board incorporated two additional make-up days into the traditional school year calendar for 2004-05. June 3 and June 6 were selected as the two additional days, as opposed to two days in April or May, to avoid conflicting with SOL testing.
