Woodson CEDSS Art Gallery
The Woodson CEDSS art studio program is formatted for all Art 1, 2 and 3 students. The Woodson CEDSS Art program is set-up as an open-art studio and is structured around two very important factors—creativity and expression.
The program consists of Fairfax County Art Department curriculum along with some freedom to twist, tweak and re-invent creative ideas a student may have. Students are encouraged to further their own personal relationship with their art pieces by addressing relevant themes and topics.
The focus for the Woodson CEDSS art program is to build technical skills while creating conceptual artworks to express personal ideas. The art studio is designed to encourage exploration and experimentation with materials and project ideas. Students explore their own interests in subject matter and materials through daily use of their visual journals.
