Holmes Run Acres
Holmes Run Acres is the community around Woodburn Elementary. Established in 1951, the houses in the neighborhood were designed in the California Ranch style. Beyond having a wonderful website, the Holmes Run community sponsors a print publication, The Holmes Runner, and maintains an active listserv to keep all of the community members informed.
Fairmont Gardens
Fairmont Gardens is an apartment complex run by The JBG Companies. Located just inside the Capital Beltway, Fairmont Gardens is just a few minutes away Woodburn.
Schools
Luther Jackson Middle School
After sixth grade, our students move on to Luther Jackson Middle School. Named after Dr. Luther P. Jackson, Luther Jackson opened in 1954. One of 26 middle schools in Fairfax County, the school's model is "Together We Can Make a Difference!". Jackson embraces the middle school philosophy to guide its instructional and physical organization. Teams consisting of the four core teachers instruct and guide a group of approximately 125 students through the school year.
Falls Church High School
Falls Church High School is to provide every student with essential, rigorous instruction in an environment in which all academic needs are systematically identified and met. Students at Falls Church High School come from 83 countries and are native speakers of more than 40 languages. Falls Church High School’s student body reflects the diversity of the community it serves.

McDonalds is our current business partner. They host fundraisers each year where teachers come in and help work the various stations in the restaurant!
