Academy Classes

Cartoon ClubWoodburn Academy for the Fine and Playful Arts offers a variety of teacher sponsored after-school activities that support both our academic and fine arts programs. Classes are scheduled for either Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons beginning the first week of second quarter and continuing through the end of third quarter. A brochure detailing all of this year's courses will be sent home near the end of the first quarter.

Drama Club: Students in Drama Club learned all about acting and performing. They have the opportunity to audition for a part in the play. Last year we performed for the entire school, as well as parents at night.

Step Team: The Woodburn Steppers are a group of talented, highly skilled dancers. The Steppers used a mix of hip-hop dance, stomp, and chants to convey positive messages and school spirit. TRYOUTS REQUIRED.

Creative Crafts: Students will make a variety of crafts including seasonal items. They will create fun artwork using, paper, assortment of different materials such as paint, and food. All that is needed is creativity.

Homework Club: Open to all students. Students had an opportunity to work on homework afterschool, with close faculty support.

Art Club: Students will be encouraged to create original works of art with a variety of art media. Students will paint, sculpt, make prints, and draw.
