Walt Whitman Middle School Mission Statement

Whitman Middle School is committed to the belief that our mission is to provide a quality educational program in a caring and nurturing environment for all students. We hold high expectations for their academic success by providing standard based classrooms where students master essential learnings, as well as develop and demonstrate skills. Ensuring that students learn to be responsible and productive citizens is a major part of the middle school focus. We foster opportunities for students to reach their fullest potential, appreciate cultural diversity, become life-long learners, and seize all educational advantages that will prepare them for the 21st century.
