KINDERGARTEN SUPPLY LIST

Backpack large enough to hold 9x12 projects. (No Wheels)
Lunch box or bag lunch (Please send one nutritious snack and drink daily.)
8-- small white glue sticks
1--8oz. bottle of hand sanitizer
Last names A-H inexpensive white paper plates for crafts
Last names I-P a package of napkins
Last names Q-Z brown or white lunch paper bags

 Labeling

 The backpack and lunch box need to be labeled with your
                     
child’s name.  Please label any lunch box containers and
lids. We often have duplicate lunch box designs in
Kindergarten.  Placing an identifying sticker on the outside
of your child’s lunch box will help your child find the right
snack quickly.  The other school supplies do not need to be
labeled - they are shared.

SECOND GRADE SUPPLY LIST

Please have your child bring the following items on the 1st day of school. All the items listed below are for individual use and should be clearly labeled with your child's name.

Boy students bring:
1 box of zip lock gallon freezer bags and 1 box of Band-Aids

Girl students bring:
1 box of zip lock sandwich bags and 1 package of baby wipes for cleaning desks

Items listed below are for specific teachers:

2 packages of wide-ruled notebook paper (200 sheets) Patty only

THIRD GRADE SUPPLY LIST

Dear Parents,
We are excited about third grade this fall! Third grade is a fun year with lots of new experiences. Please label all the supplies. We are looking forward to making third grade an excellent learning experience for your child.

    paper towels.

“zipper” plastic bags in either the quart or gallon size.

--- 1 three-ring binder with wrap-around Velcro latch and storage pockets.
--- 1 pencil case with three holes that fits into the binder.
--- 1 additional large, heavy-duty zipper type pencil case

each: blue (math), red (spelling/vocabulary), yellow (writing), green (science/health),

CENTER BASED FIFTH GRADE SUPPLY LIST

v    Please have binder set up with dividers labeled Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, Writing, Spelling,  Health, and Misc.

v    Please have ALL items labeled. Please note that supplies will need to be replaced throughout the year.

Junior Scholastic, Science World, and Dynamath magazines will be used throughout the year.  The estimated subscription cost will be about $28.00.  A letter will be sent home in September with the final cost for this school year.

CENTER BASED SIXTH GRADE SUPPLY LIST

  Greetings!

Please bring the following materials to school within the first two days of school.    Remember to mark all your supplies with your name!      You must have supplies each school day.

1 medium-sized three ring binder (2-3 inches)                                                                         Students will file papers by subject throughout each nine weeks.  Binders with nylon zippered covers work well as do accordion pleated files (Not cardboard).  It will be critical to success in 6th grade to maintain organized materials.  

1 one inch three ring binder for written expression. This binder will be used for completed work.

Loose leaf paper  

1 red pocket folder for music class

Loose leaf dividers labeled:                                                                                          

1.) Math work

2.) Math notes

3) Science/Health

4.) Spelling/Vocabulary  

5.) Social Studies 

6.) Reading  

7.) Written Communication (For papers we are working on in

      writing and grammar) 

8.) Journal (used in 1 inch binder)

1 composition book (for Social Studies interactive notebook)

1 compass (plastic – no metal points)

1 scientific calculator – Not needed at school – may be useful for some homework assignments. (square root & exponent functions)

Please do not bring spiral notebooks or tape to school.

*Storage space is limited to student desks and binders.  Extra materials should not be brought to school.

 All toys are to be left at home.

Read a fiction book over the summer to complete the Fairfax County Public Schools summer reading requirement.  Complete the attached graphic organizer.  Bring it to school when you return.  You might put it right in your binder in the Reading section.
