I graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Theater.  While working as an actress and director in New York, I had several opportunities to work in schools as a performer and an arts grant writer.  I fell in love with the energy of young children and the freedom of their imaginations to create and expand knowledge.  I wanted to be part of the fun every day!  I moved back to Fairfax County, where I had grown up, in order to pursue a Masters in Education from George Mason University.  After completing my internship at Westlawn, I knew there was no better place for me to begin my teaching career.  Teachers here are committed to implementing best practices and using creative strategies to keep students engaged in learning and having fun.  I hope to continue this tradition!
