National Honor Society 2011-2012

Westfield’s NHS Sponsors are Mrs. Nikki Warren and Mrs. Jennifer Campbell.  If you have questions, please see Mrs. Warren in B-107 or Mrs. Campbell in Student Services.

Service Hour Requirements: 
-Members inducted as juniors must complete 20 hours junior year and 15 hours senior year
-Members inducted as seniors must complete 20 hours senior year
-You may not double count service hours with other honor societies or organizations, nor may you count hours that are required for other groups or for which you receive compensation in the form of payment or class credit
-Senior hours are due Friday, April 27, 2012
-Junior hours are due at the end of September 2012 (specific date announced next fall)
-Current junior members can complete all hours for both junior and senior year (35 total) at once (for this reason, it is wise to volunteer when there is more free time

Membership Dues: Dues for all members are $15 per year. Please drop off cash or a check (made payable to Westfield HS) to Mrs. Campbell in Student Services.

Officer Elections: Elections for NHS officers for the 2012-2013 school year will take place in May of 2012, with all current junior members voting. Look for the meeting date in the morning & afternoon announcements in early May.

NHS Facebook & Blackboard groups:  All current NHS members should be a part of both the Facebook and Blackboard groups in order to receive timely information updates. If you have trouble with the Facebook group, please contact a current officer. If you need help joining the Blackboard group, see Mrs. Warren in B107.
