National Honor Society News
The first NHS meeting of the year is on Monday, October
15th, at 2:20 PM in A103-A104. This meeting is for
seniors who are already members. Seniors who wish to remain
a member in good standing MUST attend this meeting. Dues,
membership criteria, service projects, and information on
running for officer positions will be discussed.
The second meeting for current senior members will be on Monday,
October 29th, at 2:20 pm in A103-A104. The major
business of this meeting will be the election of officers.
The meeting for all prospective members will be held on Thursday,
November 1st, at 2:20 in a location TBD. Juniors
and seniors who have a 3.5 gpa and above are invited to attend
and obtain an application. If students are unsure if they
qualify, they should see their guidance counselor to obtain
their gpa.
All new member applications are due by Tuesday, November
19th, to the box in the history department workroom.
The faculty committee will make its selections and inductions
will be held before winter break.
