What
is BITS?
-
The
BITS program provides academic support to students by providing
volunteer tutors in Math, English, Science, Social Studies
and Foreign Language.

Area
professionals are recruited to become tutors on a voluntary
(unpaid) basis. School staff and faculty are also recruited
-
Tutoring
sessions are held throughout the year on Saturday mornings
from 9:15 – 11:30 am.

In
case of inclement weather or emergencies:
Please listen to local radio stations or watch
cable Channel 21 for Fairfax County Public School
announcements. If school activities are canceled,
BITS is also canceled.

BITS
Session Information
- Once the
paperwork has been turned in to apply for BITS Tutoring, your
child can attend the Saturday sessions. You do not have to wait
for notification from the school.
- Parents
are welcome to volunteer by bringing in snacks or by setting
up and cleaning up for each session. A parent does not need
to stay for the tutoring session.
