Welcome to the Library at Westfield High School!

Mission

Westfield is a large high school serving a diverse community that places high priority on education. The Westfield High School Library exists to serve this community by providing materials & assistance to support all areas of instruction, inquiry & interests, to build information literacy, and to foster lifelong learning. We take P.R.I.D.E. in our learning community.

Passes

  • Students must have a pass any time they are out of class.
  • During school hours (7:20  a.m. to 2:05 p.m.) students must have a pass to come to the library and also sign-in at the front desk, unless accompanied by a teacher.

Borrowing Library Materials

  • Library books are checked out for three weeks using the students ID number.
  • Reference books and current magazines can be checked out over night.
  • No overdue fines are charged but books must be returned on time. 
  • Students with overdue books may not check out any library material until the overdue material has been returned to the library.
  • Full replacement price is charged for lost or damaged items.

Computers & Printers

  • 35 computers
  • Internet Access
  • School work only

Personal Electronics

  • Person phones, ipods, earbuds, are allowed before 7:20a.m. and after 2:05p.m. but at NO TIME during the school day.
  • Please do not bring food or drink to the library. No sitting on the floor and one person per individual chair.
