Tips For Parents
They following list contains some tips for parents to help their students
find success on AP exam day.
- Encourage a good breakfast on the day of tests.
- Encourage a good night's sleep before any tests days.
- Ensure your student leaves the house with plenty of time to arrive at the testing room early.
- Do not call or text your student on tests days. Students may not have electronic devices of any kind, aside from apporved calculators for select tests. Your student can call or test you when they are done in the testing environment should they need to do so. If there is a significant family emergency while a student is testing, please contact that student's subschool. College Board states that any student violating this policy will have their exam confiscated.
- If you are going to allow your student to miss other classes on test days, be sure that he or she has completed the required attendance form as outlined [on the website]. Students are still responsible for work missed.
