Welcome to Westbriar Elementary
Westbriar Elementary earned the 2012 Governor’s Award for Educational Excellence, a recognition of schools that exceed minimum state and federal accountability standards and meet or exceed a number of performance indicators. Westbriar is one of only 16 elementary schools in Fairfax County to earn this prestigious honor. The award is a component of the Virginia Index of Performance (VIP) incentive program created by the Board of Education in 2007. This program was established to promote rigorous benchmarks for achievement in the core subject areas of English, mathematics, science and history/social science.
