Welcome to the WSES Gifted and Talented Program webpage! West Springfield Elementary, like all Fairfax County Public Schools, provides a gifted education for all students. Students in K-2 receive Response Lessons which are taught by the classroom teacher and/or our Gifted and Talented Specialist.  Students in 3-6 receive Model Thinking Lessons which are also taught by the classroom teacher and/or our Gifted and Talented Specialist. To better meet the needs of the identified gifted and talented students and any other interested and motivated students, the classroom teacher and the GT Specialist provide differentiated instruction through a variety of enrichment and extension opportunities.
