Advanced Academics Program at WSES
West Springfield Elementary, like all Fairfax County Public Schools, provides advanced academics for all students. Students in K-2 receive Response Lessons which are taught by the classroom teacher and/or our Gifted and Talented Specialist.  Students in 3-6 receive Model Thinking Lessons which are also taught by the classroom teacher and/or our Advanced Academics Resource Teacher. To better meet the needs of the identified gifted and talented students and any other interested and motivated students, the classroom teacher and the AA Resource Teacher provide differentiated instruction through a variety of enrichment and extension opportunities.
