Self-Paced Economics and Personal Finance Option - FCPS recently announced another way students can earn their Economics and Personal Finance credit which is a graduation requirement beginning with the Class of 2015.
Please visit this link to learn more information. As you can see at this link, full tuition is 100 dollars and it is a Pass/Fail course. This is a completely independent course that requires students to be highly motivated. It is currently available for Summer 2014 as well as the 2014-15 school year. Details of course requirements for the summer are available here. If your student would like to enroll in this course for the summer, please complete a registration form (found here) and have them follow up with their counselor for required signatures. Counselors are available to meet with students and parents during the school day. Requests for appointments and conferences may be made via phone or email. Walk-in appointments are not guaranteed.

Requests for withdrawals must be done in person by the enrolling parent/guardian. During the withdrawal process the student must return all books, pay obligations, and obtain required signatures. Upon completion, students will receive their transcript, immunization record and withdrawal grades.
Request to Expunge High School Courses Taken in Middle School
In accordance with Virginia state regulations, FCPS Regulation 2408 permits parents of students who take a high school credit-bearing course in middle school to request that the grade be omitted from the student's high school transcript and the student not earn high school credit for the course. Parents must make this request no later than the end of the first nine weeks of the school year following completion of the course.
Change of Address Notification
Address’s will only be changed when a deed or lease and 2 current bills are submitted to the Student Service office.
Student Transfer Information
Students whose base school is not West Potomac must complete a Student Transfer Renewal Application Form. Forms are available in Student Services and must be submitted in order to prevent withdrawal from West Potomac. You will be notified by mail of the approval.
