Students are welcome to stop by anytime. However, due to the scheduled college visits, classroom presentations and other activities, all others are encouraged to contact Kellie Stewart to schedule an appointment.


Project Discovery LogoProject Discovery

encourages students to stay in and graduate high school, and provides resources and tools for students to successfully make the transition to post-secondary education, such as community college, technical school, or a four-year college. Project Discovery is now being offered to students in grades 10 – 12 at West Potomac High School. Applicants must be a 10th-12th grade student enrolled at West Potomac HS AND be either a first-generation college student (parents didn’t graduate from a US college) OR be eligible to receive free or reduced lunch OR meet family income guidelines (200% or less current federal poverty guidelines). Students must not currently be enrolled in EIP, College Partnership, or AVID.  Interested students must register online at Once your registration has been approved, you’ll receive an email that will explain the next steps for applying for the program. The deadline to register is Friday, November 21, 2014.
