Virginia State Parks Youth Conservation Corps is looking youth ages 14 to 17 for a three week internship living and working at a State Park. There’s a $500 stipend at the end of the summer. 2011-12 Vince Kaspar Prizes for Excellence in the Arts is program that  offers  recognition,  including cash prizes, for poetry and fine art by high school seniors and juniors who live or study in the counties of Fairfax and Alexandria and the cities of Arlington, Falls Church, Fairfax and the town of Vienna.  Entries should be postmarked no later than March 3, 2012.  Prizes will be awarded on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the VVA Chapter 227 meeting.  A copy of the announcement and an FAQ can be found at www.vva227.org
