Make communication fun, never a chore! Be patient with your child. Listen to what he/she has to say. ![]()
![]() Give him/her plenty of time to express him/herself. Set aside a few minutes each day for talking and communicating about the day's events.
Make a game for adverbs: walk quickly, slowly, sadly, quitely, etc. ![]() Name and classify objects: fruits, furniture, clothes, etc. ![]() Show your child an interesting picture. Let him/her study it for a while. When reading to or with your child, question events by asking who, what, where, when, why questions. Have him/her give rhyming pairs for words you give.
