Fairfax County Public School's (FCPS) Program of Studies (POS) outlines grade level curriculum for core subjects. POS includes Virginia's Standards of Learning.
The Standards of Learning (SOL) for Virginia Public Schools describe expectations for student learning and achievement at the state level. Fairfax County Public Schools tests at the same level, but some subjects may be tested at different grade levels or years.
A schedule for SOL testing dates is available. Waples Mill has a subscription to SOLpass (www.solpass.org) that includes home use for
students. Ask your teacher for the password.
From the SOLpass Home Page, choose Elementary School, then choose a subject. Students will be prompted to
enter the school password. After clicking the login button, the user will be brought to Science and Social Studies activities.
