About our School -

Waples Mill is a school with a dedicated community - including an active Parent Teacher Association, parent volunteers, and a strong business partnership with Datatel, Inc. There are programs for students in kindergarten through grade six and special programs for preschool students with disabilities aged two through five and for students with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and/or moderate to severe disabilities.

Activities for students include before and after school programs in science, foreign language, the arts, scouts, and a chess club. Students at Waples Mill have the opportunity to further study conservation science among other enrichment programs. Waples Mill ES offers an integrated service/ learning approach, incorporating Science, Technology, Art, Music, and Perfomance - the "S.T.A.M.P" of Excellence.

Waples Mill Elementary School is in Cluster 8. Most students later attend Franklin Middle School, Carson Middle School, or Lanier Middle School and then Oakton High School or Fairfax High School.
