Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is a program that promotes a school-wide positive learning approach to discipline. The objectives of PBS are to improve school climate, teach students to be responsible members of our school community, and reduce challenging student behaviors in a proactive, positive, and consistent manner.
The PBS program emphasizes and recognizes behaviors associated with the traits of respect, responsibility, and resourcefulness- what we call “Eagle Expectations.” These are the behaviors we want to see in children every day. We want every adult to recognize students for demonstrating these behaviors. We teach behavioral expectations and recognize positive student behaviors in a consistent, clear manner. This year we have added Check-In/ Check-Out, encouraging students to make appropriate behavioral choices.
