The Ocean's Deadliest Disaster

By Jenny, Molly, and John

Introduction

What is the deadliest natural disaster of the ocean?  We believe, tsunamis.  Tsunami is Japanese for "tidal wave".  It is a destructive wall of water that reaches a height of 100 feet, or even More! It destroys everything in its path.

Task

Imagine you are visiting Japan looking forward to a relaxing vacation.  All the sudden, you hear a loud rumble from far out in the ocean.  A huge wall of water approaching  the shore.  You need to help the Japanese people escape the tsunami.  But there is one problem, you know nothing about tsunamis!

Research tsunamis on the links we will give you to help save the Japanese beach.
