Connecting to the Community
One of the goals of W.T. Woodson High School is to emphasize and support the importance of civic duty by expanding our community involvement through service learning projects and community action activities. We are doing this by increasing awareness of service learning projects completed by students and promoting current opportunities for involvement.

Community Service versus Service Learning: What's the Difference?
Community Service and Service Learning are similar in that both involve working with and helping organizations within our community meet their own needs. Service learning is unique in that the work students perform reinforces curricular standards.
