Announcement: November is National Career Month. The poor economy prompts many workers to gain new skills. Adult education teachers train adults in a variety of topics from business to the trades, to health care, and to other fields. Get your education and you could help adults gain these skills by teaching in a technical and trade school, community college, or even a college or university.

Activity: ASVAB Testing
Announcement: Students interested in enlisting in the U.S. Armed Forces have to take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (the ASVAB). Students interested in great career exploration may also want to take this test. Take this test the easy way – here at W.T. Woodson High School. Completed permission forms must be returned to the Career Center by 10 December. Visit the Career Center for more details and a permission form.

Announcement: November is Food for Fines Month in the Library. If you bring in canned goods, pasta, or any nonperishable food items, the library staff will delete your fines. Remember Seniors…you must clear your record in time for graduation, so this is a good deal for you and for all underclass students. Help others in need this Thanksgiving and you will be helping yourself at the same time.
