PTA Sponsored Dance: November 18th 6:30-9pm

Mark Twain Middle School PTA is partnering with Nalls Produce in Franconia to provide the community with fresh holiday wreaths.  Nalls hand makes wreaths onsite with fresh greens from Frasier Fir clippings sourced from small, family run farms in the mountains of North Carolina.  The price for a plain Frasier fir is $26.00, $34.00 for premium Frasier Fir with mixed greens.  Wreaths are approximately 22-24 inches in diameter, the perfect size for a front door.  Your wreaths are made just days before pickup to ensure the freshest wreath possible.  By buying locally made wreaths with locally grown green, you are keeping your money in the local economy, not sending it across the country.  Additionally, Nalls Produce greens come from farmers who use sustainable farming practices.  Contact Beth Krause at Beth_Krause@hotmail.com with questions. The Mark Twain Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is about men and women working together toward a common goal. That goal is creating a better school and a better educational experience for our children. We strive to create an atmosphere where teachers and administrators can do their best work—and so can our children.

The PTA helps Mark Twain in many different ways.

Last year, we:

• Raised $1625 to purchase new chairs for the school staff.
• Sponsored spring & fall dances.
• Provided children without lunch money a meal, so that no one goes hungry.
• Coordinated volunteer services for many school events.

With budget cuts affecting many areas of our school, we need your support to ensure we can continue providing new technology and supplies to our school. We encourage you to become a PTA member and support our fundraising activities throughout the year.
