We understand the importance of the school experience to every student and our role as educators in helping every child achieve. Therefore, we agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of our ability:

* Address the individual needs of each student through differentiated instruction and extended learning opportunities when needed.
* Communicate regularly with parents through grade level newsletters, grade level blackboard sites, weekly progress reports, Wednesday folders, homework planners for 3rd-6th grade, phone calls, e-mails, and parent conferences, using a translaotor when necessary.
* Acknowledge that parents are vital to the success of their child.
* Treat each student and parent with dignity and respect.
* Clearly communicate homework and classwork expectaions to students and parents.
* Provide translations of written communication, and interpreters for conferences and events.

Parent

I understand that my participation in my child’s education will help his/her achievement and attitude. Therefore, I will continue to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability:

* Send my child to school every day, on time, well rested, and prepared to learn.
* Encourage my child to respect themselves, classmates, school personnel, and school property.
* Communicate to my child that I value education. Monitor homework assignments, check and sign homework planners, and reviewing completed assignments.
* Attend parent conferences, Back-to-School Night, Open House, and school events
* Empty backpacks every night respond to teacher’s notes, school forms, and return Wednesday folders each week.
* Read with or to my child every night, and monitor the required 20 minutes of reading each night.

Student

I realize that my education is important. I know I am responsible for my own success. Therefore, I agree to carry out the following responsibilities to the best of my ability.

* Attend school every day, on time, well rested, and prepared to learn.
* Do my homework and turn it in on time, and read for 20 minutes each night.
* Work to the best of my ability and always do my best.
* Show respect for other students, teachers, staff, visitors, and myself.
* Take home my Wednesday folder, get all papers and forms signed, and return everything on Thursday.
* Be responsible for my own behavior.
* Do my work in class, follow directions, and be a good listener.
