Sixth Grade Gets Goopy Exploring Topography
Mrs. Damon’s class constructed salt maps to help learn the topography of our country. The students labeled the main regions, mountain ranges and important rivers. Getting messy and having some fun always helps learning!

The final parts of this project were for student groups to present their maps to their peers and then the students used the maps to review and quiz each other on geographic features to prepare for assessment.
