Sixth grade INNERQUEST field trip to Madiera School.

The students participate in the INNERQUEST Day program. The program focuses on skills that sixth graders need as they become stronger individuals within their school, home, and community.

Dear Mr. Bland,

Overall I had a pretty good time at INNERQUEST. I conquered any fear of heights I might have had with the zip wire and I felt there was a lot of teamwork in our group where there hadn’t been much before.

In the teambuilding activities I felt that nobody complained about them as much as they would have at school.

My favorite activity (besides the zip wire) was the magic carpet. It was where we all we all helped hold someone up above our heads. It was so easy to hold them up together that it brought our team closer together.

INNERQUEST was the best field trip ever It helped everyone learn things about ourselves and others.

Levi

Dear Mr. Bland,

The field trip yesterday blew my mind! It may have been $34.00 but it was definitely worth it. INNERQUEST was worth the wait and I absolutely loved that zip-wire.

In INNERQUEST, I learned how to trust one another and feel comfortable with my surroundings. I thought this field-trip was going to be majorly dangerous but all of the equipment made me feel extra safe.

I liked the way that INNERQUEST taught my group and I how to become a team. It wasn’t that easy but with all the fun and exciting games we played, seemed to make us all connect with each other. It was nice that we all were there for each other and how we conquered each game using team-work. INNERQUEST was a field-trip that I will never forget.

Your Student,
Alyssa

Dear Mr. Bland

I really did have fun with my friends and my teacher overall. But in the beginning I was tired and I thought I wasn’t going to have enough to eat. Then when we played the third game, I wasn’t tired anymore and I knew the rest of the day was going to be fun and it was.
The things that were really important about us playing the games were that we had to work together as a team, communicate with each other, and trust one another. The things I really learned about myself was that I was more brave than I thought and that I’m not that afraid of heights. The thing I learned about my classmates yesterday was that they are good at making solutions and good at being leaders. That is what I learned about myself and others yesterday.

Your student,

Jim

Dear Mr. Bland,
Yesterday when I went to INNERQUEST. I had lots of fun. I learned new thing about how to work together. Also I learned how to plan before completing a task. You have to know who’s doing what before you can start.
Yesterday my team’s leader taught us about working together. She told us about being safe and if someone’s feet leaves the ground you have to have spotters. I learned the fastest way to get done is by working together and planning.
I also learned about myself that I can get anything done by concentrating and working hard enough. I also learned how to trust spotters and my teammates. I learned how to use safety equipment to go on the zip wire and how to climb to get the real part of the zip wire. The field trip was lots of fun. I hope we can go there again.

Your student,
Jeffrey
