Students collaborate to creative video tutorials for other students. They work in pairs, select a topic, come up with a storyboard and a script and use the SMARTBoard recorder to capture their actions and their voice. Teachers post these tutorials on their 24-7 sites, use them for unit or SOL review. Students also work with teachers from other grade levels so that the older kids make videos for the younger kids.

My Podcast Experience
by Brailey, grade 4

When I came to the computer lab, I started off with drafts. I wrote the problem and while I solved the problem, I talked it out and wrote down each step. Then when I was finished solving the problem, Ms. Dix hooked up the microphone on me and I started recording my podcast.

The best thing about doing the podcast was working with my best friend, Anjana. While doing my podcast, I learned how to do long division better. I would like to do another one on science some time.
