The overall mission of the Discovery Garden is to expand the school learning environment to the natural world and introduce students to sustainably grown organic vegetable gardening. 

The Discovery Garden will be a resource for interdisciplinary learning across all the major academic subjects areas, the fine arts, and health and life skills.

The Discovery Garden will foster community pride and service.

The Discovery Garden will teach students to be respectful stewards of their natural world and instill in them a personal responsibility to live sustainably within it.
