SVES Business Partnership with Cardinal Bank

Students at Sunrise Valley Elementary School celebrate the start of a business partnership with Cardinal Bank. Students selected the name of Sunrise Savings for their student-run bank.

Students will learn banking and leadership skills by being responsible for the weekly operations of the student-run bank inside the school, under the supervision of Cardinal Bank representatives.

The goals of the program include students learning about economics, math skills, and the importance of saving. Students will each earn 5% interest on their deposits up to a total of $1,000.

Photo was taken at the opening ceremony where the 5th grade student bank workers and student bank officers are gathered together. Students in the photo below will serve in important roles to include manager, assistant manager, teller, and marketing specialist.

The Sunrise Bank hours of operation are Tuesday mornings from 8:45-9:30am.
