Students can schedule an appointment with their counselor before school, during lunch, or after school. Counselors are available to meet with their students throughout the school day from 7:15am-2:45pm.

1. Each counselor has a weekly schedule with available time slots on their door - found on a clipboard in their door mailbox.
2. The student must come before school, during lunch, or after school to view the available time slots for that day or the following day.
3. The student must sign their name in the time slot that they choose.
4. The student must ask for a Yellow Guidance Pass that will state their appointment time. This pass is given to the teacher to show that the student has a valid appointment. The student may ask the counselor or Ms. Ramos, the guidance secretary, to write the pass.
5. It is the student's responsibility to remember their appointment time. If the appointment time is missed, the student must re-sign up for another time.

Parents/Guardians are asked to schedule appointments to see their student's counselor by contacting the appropriate counselor directly through phone or email. Counselors are available to meet from 7:15am-2:45pm.

A Parent/Guardian is not guaranteed to see their student's counselor if he/she walks-in without an appointment.

If a Parent/Guardian would like to schedule a Parent/Teacher conference, please contact their student's counselor to make the appropriate arrangements. Parent/Teacher Conferences are normally scheduled afterschool Monday-Thursday at 2:15pm to allow for the teachers to attend the meetings.

For new students, who are currently not attending one of Stuart’s pyramid schools (Glasgow, Poe, or Holmes) and who are planning to attend Stuart in the fall, please call Cathy Ramos (703-824-3922) to make an appointment for next year's classes.
