IB/MYP CERTIFICATE AND RECOGNITION
At the end of Year 5 (Grade 10), students are eligible to receive one of two recognitions from Fairfax County Public Schools for their accomplishments.
FCPS MYP CERTIFICATE
To be eligible for this recognition, students must complete the minimum require assessment tasks by gaining a general MYP grade of at least 2 in each subject area; successfully complete the personal project by gaining an MYP grade of at least 3; participate in at least the final two years of the program; meet school community and service expectations; gain a grade total of at least 36 from the eight subject groups plus the personal project (out of a possible maximum of 63).
Students who complete the required 50 hours of instruction in all MYP subject areas for all years of the program also receive "Five Star" recognition.
FCPS MYP RECORD OF ACHIEVEMENT
To be eligible for this recognition, students must complete the minimum require assessment tasks in at least five MYP subject areas. The Record of Achievement also notes completion of the personal project and participation in the school's program of community and service.
Students who participate in all years of the program also receive "Five Star" recognition.
