Menu and Cost
School meals are planned by registered dietitians to reflect the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and student preferences as determined at student taste parties. Low cost, nutritious lunches are served in every school. Breakfast is offered in most schools, and vending machines are installed and maintained in most schools.
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) offers myLunchMoney.com, an online prepayment service, to its students and employees to pay for school breakfasts and lunches. The service enables families and employees to pay for meals with a credit or debit card, check balances, and add funds to their accounts via computer, phone, or fax. A few notes about lunch:
- Students may not order lunch and have it delivered to school.
- Parents who need to drop off a lunch that a student may have forgotten should bring it to the main office and every effort will be made to get the lunch to the student.
- Students do not have access to a refrigerator during the day to store their food.
