PTSA College Scholarships

JEB Stuart Community Scholarship Fund

For many years the JEB Community Scholarship Fund has been helping
the graduates of JEB Stuart achieve their educational goals. Last year,
we awarded almost $50,000 to the Class of 2003 graduates.
Every spring seniors interested in continuing their education,
whether college-bound or vocational, are encouraged to apply.
A selection committee comprised of community, faculty,
and PTSA members, selects the recipients.

Thurgood Marshall Scholarship

Each year the Lake Barcroft Community awards scholarships of up to $3,000 to deserving Stuart graduates.
These scholarships are given in honor of the late Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, who was a long-term resident of Lake Barcroft.
Applicants for the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship
must write a separate essay, showing how they
exemplify the spirit of the late Justice Marshall.

Applications for both scholarships are distributed in senior English classes
in late March or early April. Urge your child to apply,
we want to help as many students as possible.
