These events are ones that happen each year at a on a particular date or season. Your participation is always welcome with these activities.

Field Day

This event is held in June.  A parent coordinator is needed to help plan and run this fun day, with the PE teachers.  Volunteers are needed to help set up, man the various stations, and clean up.

Junior Achievement

This is a five week program, held in the spring, that teaches children about government, business, and economic concepts.  Each K-6 class needs a volunteer to teach five 45-minute sessions.  Thorough lesson plans are provided and training is available.

Science Fair

Stratford’s annual Science Fair, held in March, provides students with the opportunity to experiment, invent, and display a science project, and to discuss their project with adult scientists.  Volunteers are needed to help with set up and clean up, to monitor the exhibits throughout the week, and to interview young scientists.  Anyone with a background in science is invited to share their expertise.

Thanksgiving Lunch

Volunteers are needed to distribute tickets, help serve the meal, and assist with table clean-up throughout the day.  The event takes place during the annual Scholastic Book Fair
