Our Philosophy:

We believe that each child is important and entitled to realize his or her fullest potential (FCPS). The Department of Student Services at Stone Middle School maintains that all students, through guidance and counseling, can be empowered to meet high academic standards, lead ethical lives, and access secondary and post-secondary opportunities. Our goals are to maximize student achievement in the pursuit of excellence, help students to make connections between academics and the world of work, and to stress individual character development as well as healthy interpersonal relationships. Stone Middle School’s Counseling program is designed to meet the needs of students at various growth and developmental stages through academic, career, and personal/social experiences. We use data to provide an accountable way to align the school counseling program with the school’s academic mission.

Our Mission:

The mission of the Ormond Stone Middle School Department of Student Services it to provide a comprehensive educational program that supports the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students, working collaboratively with staff members, parents, and the community.
