The Spring Hill Physical Education (PE) Program is dedicated to teaching our children the benefits of physical fitness in their life. We always tell our children that without your health, you have no wealth. Our goal is to create a program that is both fun and education, so the children will be able to learn a multitude of different ways to keep themselves in good physical condition. Our program is developmentally appropriate and individually oriented for each child. We base our lessons on the four national physical fitness standards.
Standard One: Demonstrate competency in many movement forms and acquire proficiency in one self-selected lifetime sport activity.
Standard Two: Analyze movement concepts and principles to enhance motor skill acquisition and performance.
Standard Three: Plan and describe a personal fitness and wellness program.
Standard Four: Achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness.
Please contact our PE teachers Linda Shaheen and Mickey Minutoli for more information.
"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity."
-John Fitzgerald Kennedy
