Spring Hill Earns the Ecoschool Silver Award!
This year has been loaded with marvelous work and throughout all of it the EcoAction Team composed of students, teachers and parents have marched diligently through the requirements to become an official Ecoschool. We focused on Green Hour and Transportation pathways in order to save energy and pay attention to how much time our children spend outside. We gathered data through audits, created an ecoaction plan and collected more data. Our Walk/Bike to Schools Days were successful and reduced our use of gasoline for three days this spring. Our Walk and Talk program encouraged students to be active during recess. Our Outdoor Classrooms and Stewardship Days got the classes outside to learn and make the schoolyard a better place.
