What is the Interact Club?
Interact stands for “International Action” and is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 14 to 18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting.
Interact has become a worldwide phenomenon with almost 200,000 young people involved in more than 10,700 clubs in 109 countries world wide.
The purpose of the club is to help members:
- Develop leadership skills and personal integrity
- Demonstrate helpfulness and respect for others through community service
- Understand the value of individual responsibility and hard work
- Advance international understanding and goodwill among young people
Communication of meeting dates and location takes place through the morning announcements and email. |
