General Information

The Monthly Career Center Calendar lists visits by college representatives, career speakers, SAT/ACT registration dates, college information sessions in the area and/or on college campuses, financial aid workshops, and other Career Center activities. The calendar is distributed throughout the school, posted on bulletin boards, and available to pick up in the Career Center. Reminders are broadcast during morning announcements.

Scholarships for Seniors are posted in the Career Center. The list is updated constantly through June and has information from individual schools and state, local, and national organizations. Seniors are encouraged to check the list and its deadlines often and pick up applications in the Career Center. Family Connection has a new scholarship section.

The Job Bulletin Board lists work opportunities for students seeking part-time as well as summer employment. Full-time jobs for graduating seniors are posted in the spring. Community volunteer opportunities are listed in a notebook.

Summer Programs for Students are listed in the Career Center.  Many are on college campuses; some offer college credit; and all provide enrichments in a variety of areas.  Programs are held in the United States and abroad. All programs have application deadlines.

Students may use the Career Center before school, during lunch, and after school.  During class periods, students must obtain a pass from their teacher.

Parents are welcome to use the services of the Career Center.  If possible, parents should call in advance for an appointment.
