Chantilly High School Summer Program

If you are going to be a ninth grader at CHS next year, are you going to take a language, or , would you like to review your language at CHS before Level II?  CHS offers several camps for foreign language over the summer….

Tech Adventure Camp The Tech Adventure Camp is designed to give current 5, 6, & 7 grade students an opportunity to explore careers and technology as they rotate through six areas over a two week program. The courses offered at the 2009 camp are; Creating the Shot, Design Studio, Hollywood Here We Come, Invent the Future, Make the Game, and Well Fit....Well Fed . Camp will be held at the Chantilly Academy and Lee High School, July 6-17, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. The cost is $400.00. The registration form and information on the camp will be sent home to all 5, 6, & 7 graders the week of April 13th. Registration can be found at FCPS CTE website.
AP Summer Seminar An intensive, week-long boot camp sponsored by Chantilly, Centreville, and Westfield  high school’s  PTSAs, and designed for serious students.  Students will work with Pre-AP teachers to learn close reading strategies, critical thinking, and research skills to better prepare them for the rigors of the Pre-AP curriculum.
Shifting Gears 2009 A summer course focused on middle school preparation for rising 7th graders. There are 3 sessions available, but sign up early. Spaces fill up quickly! Registration due June 01, 2009. View pdf file for registration form and details.
Fairfax Collegiate Summer 2009 The Fairfax Collegiate Summer Program is a summer enrichment program instructed by university professors and public and private school teachers. Classes are offered at three area locations in mathematics, writing, test preparation, programming, computer literacy, web design, robotics, digital arts, and life skills. 2009 Summer Enrichment Program in Mathematics and Technology for Talented Youth (MTTY) The purpose of the MTTY program is to offer non-credit enrichment courses in mathematics and computer sciences for students entering the 6th through 12th grades. The courses are designed to provide an accelerated learning environment in a college atmosphere for high-potential students.
