There are 3 main projects that you have in this course. The Egg Crash Cars, Suspension Bridge, and the CO2 Cars. The Egg Crash project teaches students about the imprtances of a seat belt and how the car abosorbs the shock of a crash. In this project students use a variety of materials to create a car and and attach an egg to. They then test the efficiency of the project by making it run into a wall and seeing if the egg is cracked, flew out of the car, or if it stayed intact and isn't broken. The Suspention bridge shows students differnt bridge structures and ways to create them. The structure of the bridge you build is tested by fnding out how many pounds it can hold before breaking apart. The CO2 Cars teach students mainly about Aerodynamics. They create a car that will be racing at 40 miles per hour against another CO2 car. The cars are graded on creative and craftsmanship.
