Music is a very important part of Rocky Run Middle School. Students can participate in a variety of musical classes, which include Orchestra, Band, Music Lab and Chorus.

Unlike elementary school, band and orchestra are year-long electives and students don't need to miss class to attend it. Like all other electives and classes, the students will have to go everyday.

Around the end of the school year, the whole music department goes to a theme park, usually Busch Gardens, to perform in the morning and then enjoy themselves for the rest of the afternoon. There is a fundraiser in the beginning of the year to get the money for this field trip.
