Welcome to the Home Ec page for Rocky Run. Home Ec is an elective course in which students learn how to sew and cook. There is a seventh and eight grade course and what you do varies on what grade your in and weather you get sewing or cooking first. In the cooking course you will form groups of 3-4 and cook from scratch with an oven or sometimes the microwave. In the sewing course you work by yourself but you sit at a table with you kitchen group but you don't work together. Home ec is a semester only course which means at the end of the first semester in december you will change electives, so when you return from winter break you will not have home ec again (If you got it for the first semester).
