Students are encouraged to keep a pair oet). Loaner uniforms are available through your P.E. teacher and must be signed out and returned clean. Agenda points will be taken for students who check out loaner uniforms more than once per week.

Uniform Prices

Uniform prices are subject to change.

Assessment Criteria

Grading in both the seventh and eighth grade will be based on Affective, Cognitive, Skill and Fitness assessments. The P.E. Department uses the 100% grading scale.

Percentage Breakdown

Grade Affective Cognititve Skill Fitness
8th 50% 20% 15% 15%
7th 20% 10% 40% 30%

Health

All 7th and 8th grade students will receive the equivalent of one quarter of Health with a Health specialist.

Discipline

The following steps will be taken by the physical education staff for discipline procedures:

  1. warning
  2. reflection
  3. phone call home
  4. referral to administrator

Health Concerns

All students are required to dress out everyday. However, physical or health related problems may hinder full participation and performance. Therefore it is very important that all health related problems are brought to the teachers concern. A note from home should be given to the P.E. teacher explaining the students' limitations. Students who need to be excused for longer than three days need a doctor's note. This note should state what a student can or cannot do, along with the date a student can return to full participation. Alternate activities will be provided on an individual basis, and all students are responsible for missed work.
